Plant a Tree in Memory

The Green Graveyard Company have just launched a tree planting service. Instead of sending artificial flowers to a wake or funeral often a more fitting tribute is to have a native Irish tree planted in the memory of the deceased. Click on the link above for more information

Woodbrook Family Tree Planting Day 6th January 2013 at 1pm

A family tree planting day will be held at Woodbrook Natural Burial Ground on 6th January 2013 at 1pm. Family and friends of those who have been buried at Woodbrook in the previous year are welcome to come along and assist with the tree planting, as are the family and friends of those buried in previous years. Soup and sandwiches will be available afterwards at the Holy Grail in Ballindaggin.

Weaved in Fanad, Co. Donegal, using a mixture of brown (buff) and green willow (Green willow is known as brown willow - and is willow in its natural state). Natural load bearing ropes make up the lifting handles and ties. Finished with simple calico linings.

Hand Made in Fanad, Co. Donegal. Here we have used all brown willow (green colour). This is willow in its natural state which is allowed to dry and is then resoaked for weaving. Natural load bearing ropes make up the lifting handles and ties. Finished with simple calico linings.
