Why Choose an Eco Friendly Funeral Product?
All our coffins are made from sustainable, recycled or waste materials, using no varnishes, plastics or metals.
Willow and bamboo are both extremely fast growing plants that soak C02 from the atmosphere. Both can be harvested after a years growth and start to regrow without the need for replanting.
Water hyacinth is a powerful aquatic plant that grows to form a dense mat across water surfaces. Gathering water hyacinth brings many benefits including cleaning water courses and assisting in the maintenance of biodiversity.
Banana Leaf is a waste product from the banana farming, with little or no use.
Cardboard used is from a recycled source.
Traditional coffins are often manufactured from chip board which is held together by formaldehyde acid based glue. Hardwood coffins often come from trees that have been growing for a couple of hundred of years. The traditional coffins also have plastic handles, varnishes and glues which are all oil based and harmful for the environment.
The unique shapes, designs and colours of the coffins we provide also provide comfort and choice from the all to often "cold" feel of traditional coffins.
